As you know, macaroons are little delicate nut-based meringue biscuits. This one is all that but little: instead of making a set of individual mini-delights I went for a cake-size option. Sandwiched with an exquisite combination of pistachio cream and chocolate mousse this macaroon is a fabulous dessert for an afternoon tea or as a finishing highlight of a meal.
An easy-to-make dessert that goes well with tea or coffee alike. Light shortbread crust is well-balanced with juiciness of strawberry/mascarpone layer. Try replacing strawberries with blueberries for a different taste twist.
An all-time favourite. A taste of magic. A cake with a moderate level of simplicity in making and great level of joy in consuming. In my world, the best non-cheesecake dessert.
A win-win combination of chocolate and cherries in this cheesecake is another sweet-and-sour example of a “perfect marriage of flavours”. Perfect dessert for any occasion!
